AAA, my cousin Max John Wood, Judge for the upcoming trial of Jimmy Charja was blown away by a 243 at his apartment in San Antonio by Harrleson, father of ol woody from cheers. My family to this day does not watch cheers or any of woodys movies. The federal court house in san Antonio is named after him, he was a lover of the 4x4 dodges on the woodsboro parrie as all our family was. Point is Charga started out as allegely cooking car titles into mexico so he could run countreband across border. There is a way to legally clean up and register the vehicles in spite of what most attorneys tell us. The vehicle come under to Title act plus some federal regs as well, rarely are they paid attention too, only way to get the title is to call austin and ask for written instructions to show the entity you are dealing with how the law is to be followed, i know you tried because i could tell you were unhappy with the county attorney runaround, my own brother is the CA here and he did not know, i just happened to work for a dealership where the old owner was a dodge truck nut and furnished many from the surplus depo to surrounding counties for local fire departments, when truck is released they had a title in a pounch we handed to fire chief to add to inventory, most get lost, many are porked away with going to public auction where every one can bid and the money returned to the state for new equiptment. The skidmore fire department just let some trucks walk away and guy is trying to sell them without title, claims county judge told him it was ok, but who is getting the money for the truck is unclear, sent for complete title act so i can read it myself and try to help others straighten out some of these trucks so they can be legit. The truck(m37) is located at 181&359 in skidmore at garage. One rollover and the dead persons attorney will be going down the line looking to sue every party to recover damages, defense of claim is what bothers me, if my insurance company finds out the truck has bad title it will not have to defend me and then there is the rub! The w300 is such a sleeper with low miles and the 70,s front and back! One diff is more than the whole truck from diff shop! Hope somebody buys it and runs lift and giant tires on it like the guy in the ag tires in the pictures at top of forum, do you know who that is? W300 with the fender cut out and giant terra tires, guy with grey hair beside it? Have you ever looked at the regs that preside over recontructed trucks by body shops, might be a loophole there to title them as well, involves restamping a new frame vin and photo by theft department dps to certify it was not chop shop job, there are mundane but legal way to tile them if one desires but it is hell in paper!
