The problem is that the inner wheel mounts with a funny "nut" that has 3/4" threads on the inside and 1 1/4"? threads on the outside. It really looks like a 1 1/4" stud about 2" long that has a flare at the bottom to hold the inner rim on, and 3/4" threads in a hole up the inside. there is a 1" square on the outer end to tighten it down with. The outer rim is held with what looks like a normal PW wheel nut, except it has 1 1/4" threads instead of the 3/4" ones, so it has a real thin wall. If you increase the length of the stud and use a plate, you'll just move both rims out relative to the hub. You'd have to use a different mounting approach to increase the offset between standard rims. Rob
