Now...Black is probably used because it gives you the most bang for the buck. It's an inexpensive color to make and you get more hide with a thinner film build than any other color. Since your paint would insulate the metal and prevent heat from escaping into the air as it passes by, you want as thin a coat of paint as possible. Paint your rad what ever color you want. Just do so with a thin coat. My radiator is yellow from the overspray from a quick, down and dirty paint job. It works out great because I'm more into preserving my truck than driving it right now. That's going to change very soon though...bill
