I had the same experience as Marty.
They barely fit and as Marty said you have to loop the tie-downs over the axle. It was pretty dang scary over 45MPH! Shook so bad it even scared my father-in-law, who was following, the first time I exceeded 45. I only had to go ~20 miles, so it wasn't too bad.
