You need to cut it on a lathe, turn off the old weld, re-assemble with proper 'clocking'(the 2 u-joints should be parralell, look at a one piece shaft for comparison), reweld. Straighness, clocking, and a good weld are IMPERATIVE. I've done a couple in my home shop w/ a buzz box and 9" lathe.
