Gordon, please post some pictures of the driving end that in in the pontoon and of the transfer case, have searched all weekend for pictures or model numbers of what exactly they changed to drive the track. Is the transfer case like the one on my lil drill truck, 4 shaft output 2 speed? I have wondered how they deal with driveshaft angles. How makes terra track for the older tuckers to replace the old style on the pontoon, do they change over to a halftrack design like the white with bogies front and rear of the drive sprocket? I am a undercarrige shop owner who is curious as heck, have never seen tucker or a snowmobile as well. I have never seen snow fall either, live in deep south texas. Please dont worry about trying to put a 440 5 speed in one with nitrous oxide, i reconize it as a classic peice of machinery with functional form and design which has been overlooked, it is the ffpw of the snowcats. I want one to go where swamp is on my coastal parrie ranch near corpus christi texas that has flooded this year 4 times. Big tires, 1 tons have broken through, no bottom left to support machinery, why i like the snowcat, chy engine, points, simple, no computer to short, no wire to pull off transfer case, no lift kit etc, KISS in motion. Where are any manuals i can buy showing the model transfercase and difference in the dodge truck rear end assemblys? Thanks very much, are there any tucker junkyards or a bunch of dead units in back of some dealer lots withe the 271v8 or flathead 230 and 4 speeds?I like the one on ebay but need more information on drivetrain, are the rear end locked, are both front drive axles or are they both rear drive(what truck, front or rear out of w100 orw200, what is the bhp inside the pontoon?2
