Vin # for 42 WC-53

I am still in search of the VIN # of my Carryall..!!!!...
Can't seem to find it on the frame, still digging through 56 years of mud. I did find a small oval plate secured to the pax door frame. The number stamped into it is 4249-4640. Does this seem close to a VIN # or is this there for some other reason? Would be greatfull of any insight.
