Others may know more than I, but here goes: Engine was painted aluminum. The unrestored originals I have seen have a bright, shiny aluminum. A paint vendor told me the softer aluminum is correct, and I went with this. It matches the alumi-blast paints available for water pumps etc. The transmissions I have seen are primered, then black, with most of the tops oversprayed with aluminum from the clutch housing, etc. All of the Transfer cases I have seen are primer under black.
I would be interested in hearing from the experts.
Also, I am in need of the following for my 1950 B2PW-126: passenger side interior kick panel, rain gutter, rear stake pocket; complete, straight running boards; gas tank sending unit, etc.
Call (724) 627-5511 days or (304) 598-3590 eves. I'm in WV/PA.
Thanks and good luck!
