There where not a lot made. Chevy with its 5.7litre (350) really gave diesels a bad name. I have the parts to convert your truck to a 440 (if you do not have them all ready) and I have a 77 4x4 that I want to put a under powered motor in for my daughter, currently the truck has a 440. This does not seem like a good thing for a teen age daughter to drive. Drop me a line if you might be interested in parting with the diesel and how much you would need for it.
