Guys, Gals, and Fellow PW nuts,
I made a post below about the forum stupidity on the website devoted to the 6x6 Ram, and I thought I would put another post up in thanks for this forum.
I check this forum several times a day, as I am often in front of the computer, and for the most part, everything that goes on here is clean, on topic, and interesting to many.
I always remember that for every post, there is a lurker out there that may be interested in the same topic, and therefore you may answer three or more people’s questions with one reply.
I sometimes take several hours out of my day to research, and reply to questions, I know others of you, like Clint, etc do the same, and I am grateful to you for the efforts many of you have made for me over the years!!
I must say that while some of the topics have strayed more away from the original intent (maybe?) of this forum, I still enjoy hearing about the weather in NY, and what people are working on, even if it is a M880 (not MY favorite, but interesting to many).
I have learned MANY things from watching this forum, and I am VERY VERY glad that despite the efforts of some small-minded people, Joe has kept this forum free to all, and in this format! I find it easy to use, and understand, much more then the 61-71 forum, or Big Electric (Though Kris and Eric are still doing a great service!).
I have been thinking of adding a forum to my website, mostly so people have an easy way of asking me questions about it, and I could only dream of it becoming as nice and popular as this one.
Joe, you have always been very diligent with this site, keeping it clean, and in an easy to use format, plus spending your money on other people’s pleasure!
My first viewing of this forum was on #2, and I first book marked the forum page instead of the main page on #8, (my current bookmark says #18, I lost my bookmarks a couple years ago) I can't claim to have been here from the beginning, but I was there soon after, and I have enjoyed the ride ever since!
Thanks to Joe, and all the others who have been here, and helping out since this wonderful forum started!
I only wish that some of the VERY knowledgeable people who were here in the early days had stayed, or would come back, I enjoyed some of their very informative and detailed answers to peoples questions.
Of course, they did pass on much of their knowledge, and MANY other folks here are now just as knowledgeable.
I hope we can keep this forum alive and well for many years to come!
Thanks to all, and most especially to JOE!
Eric
