This question has to do with my 1960 Jeep CJ5, but since I also have a '67 W300 I figured you wouldn't mind.
I'm putting brand new brake hoses and wheel cylinders in the Jeep. There is a copper washer which goes between the hose and the wheel cylinder. The only new washers I can find are about 1/16" thick. The old one I removed is much, MUCH thinner. I know some of that is due to being compressed, but the old washer still had to be much thinner than the new ones I have.
My question is, is it ok to use the thicker washers I have found, or should I keep searching for something thinner?
Thanks.
