Guys,
I was just replying to Ken See's post, and I had a cool thought.
I have been looking for a model maker to make me a copy of my dream 59 W300, 9' bed, winch etc.
I found a couple people who do this, and they charge a few hundred $$ to make a scratch built model.
It just occured to me that a way to thank Joe for all he has done is to buy him a Chrismas gift, and what better then a model of his 63 PW TW?
I am sure he has one of the FF models out there, and you can't get a 61-66 PW TW off the shelf(or I would own several).
I would be willing to contact some of these model builders, and provide pictures, measurments, etc.
If there is interest, I bet we could each pitch in $1 to $5 each, and make a nice gift for Joe, without(maybe) trampling on his comfort with taking money.
If anyone likes this idea, please post here or E-mail me.
If anyone here is a model builder and thinks they could take this job on, or know someone who I should contact, please let me know!
If someone has a better idea, or thinks this idea is a bad one, let me know.
Thanks!!
Eric
P.S. if this happens, sorry for spoiling the surprise Joe!
