I have soldered holes in ordinary brass radiators with plain 50/50 (tin/lead) solder and it's held up fine. The main thing is to clean it bright and shiny and use acid flux or zinc chloride. I think radiators are manufactured using 50/50 solder. Seems to me you'd be hard put to braze or even silver-solder thin brass without burning a hole in it.
