My '68 W300, previously Forest Service vehicle, came with a functioning slave cylinder and a non-functioning cable system. I have always had trouble with the clutch slipping, even though I have replaced it and the pressure plate, and surfaced the flywheel. Is there a way to adjust the slave cylinder action to eliminate the slipping?
Or, would it be better to convert to the mechanical linkage system, which, I am sure, is rusted up and would require a lot of work to get operating. Does anyone have any comments or suggestions on either of these queations. Thanks for your thoughts.
