They were somewhat common in the Los Angeles area when I was younger. The unique thing I remember was a access tube just above the tail light and the length of the bed. This was perfect for a transit tripod, a long level pieces of pipe or anything 6 feet long or less. Powells were a early boxy automobile size pick up. Very basic. The Hayes Museum is well worth a visit. Great collection of early Catapillar crawlers. Brian, Hope you have your health back. David, Maui
