It's been many, MANY years since I worked in the ND oil fields (around Williston), but I remember in Western ND seeing oodles of nice vintage tin out behind barns. Everything was in really nice shape (surface rust from sitting in the elements) but no rot. ND never used salt in the winters (might not to this day) and therefore everything seemed to stand-up to time much better than here in the rest of the mid-west where old cars always seem to be, what I call, 'two-tone corrosion' models. Good luck finding some treasures!
