dodge truck purchase question

i am looking to buy a new 2002 dodge 3500 loaded 4x4 diesel automatic. local dealer has 5 on the lot. i figured now would be a good time to buy because the 2003 hd will be here soon. sticker price is $40,010.00 on 2002.what have they been selling for? i would hate to pay the same price as a 2003. thank you.
