I had similar sightings this weekend at the show near Boonville, Missouri.
I saw a 4x4 Ford just as you described. I saw a Wards just as you described. I think the Wards got 3rd place in its pulling class. The same guy also pulled a Simpson tractor, which looked just like the Wards. He got second with that one.
