Exhaust Manifolds vs. Headers

Another question about my 59 W200 Power Wagon with the 318. I have an exhaust manifold that will need replaced (cracked) and I'm considering either an original that the crown prince of Power Giants Eric B might know of, or a new set of headers. My questions is...all the header sources list headers for a 318 back to about the early to mid sixties. Are there differences in the 318's from 59-mid 60's that would prevent one from working? If it will physically fit the engine, are there other considerations that I should be aware of and am not? Either way I will probably replace the exhaust system at the same time so that is not a major issue.

As always, any and all help, advice, pointers etc. are greatly appreciated.
