318 Big Block

OK, off topic, but I figured this was the best place to look for information.

In my local paper is a 1981 Dodge Ramcharger. When I called about it the guy said he put a 318 big block, from a 66 Plymouth, into it in place of the original 318. Engine only has 1000 miles on it.

My question is, what is this motor like? Is it desirable? Is it hard to find parts?
