Titles, Murders, and Old trucks named blue

Anyone know the Utah laws on titles? My W100 was originally headed for the wrecking yard, a guy saved it, let it sit for ten or twelve years, etc. then gave it to the guy I got it from. So it doesn't have a title to speak of. The original owner was murdered by his grandson, so I hope I don't need him because, well, he's dead. yikes! Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
