Well, my Power Wagon took its maiden voyage, after much work being performed on many components, including an engine rebuild.
It made it most of the way to work, only to pop a freeze plug somewhere along the way. I saw the temp getting up to about 120 - 200 there, but I didn't realize the freeze plug had popped and I had lost all the coolant, so I drove a bit further (a few hundred yards) till I got to work. The temp got pretty high (well beyond 212) after I shut it off. Hopefully I didn't ruin something.
Anyway, getting to my questions: What size are the freeze plugs on the left side of the engine (distributor side)?
Also, how do I know when I have the plugs seated properly? What kind of sealant should I use around the plugs?
Thanks much,
Matt
