What you have seen here is a group of people coming to the defense of a friend. I would suspect, that had you been the one being roasted, that people here would also come to your defense.
Whenever I write a ranting letter, I find it best to write it privately, sleep on it, re-read it and then make the required corrections to the things that should not have been placed in writing in the heat of anger. I think (I hope) that you just learned that lesson, albeit the hard way.
You have apologized, there may be one or two responses to your first posting that may also need to apologize because there are ways to respond without calling someone an idiot. Don't leave the forum, just learn from it and keep on working on those Dodges.
