Ahhhhhhh, the goood old American gift to disagree. Thank God and all this country stands for! Mike, I have come to peace with this one (and still have not finished making a gin pole for my B-4-PW)... I believe all the PWs with dual support poles attached to base plates mounted to either the front PW frame rails, bumper, or on the flatbed that utilize a block or pulley at the apex and a winch at the base ARE actually unique and ingenious gin pole adaptations built for Power Wagons (& others) to accomplish in-the-field, heavy duty, repetitious, and niche applications like oil rigging, utility pipe installation, farming, AND lifting huge water tanks :) My application is somewhat less sophisticated, I just need the ability to lift & move objects under 1,000 lbs (loading & unloading from a truck) ocasionally. I have a Flatfender with a winch so the front mounted (Heavy Duty) gin pole is a natural!
