Daniel, I did some researching,...apparently gmc DID complete the purchase of AM General recently, and are now calling AM General a Division of gm. The aforementioned Chrysler/Jeep roots of Hummer remain as stated in my other posts. Chrysler designed and Jeep owned and built until 1988. AM General owned and built,...until this year.
