I'm converting the electrical system in my '49 flatfender to 12 volts, and I have two questions regarding this:
1) Do I need to use a ballast resistor in the primary circuit that feeds my new 12 volt coil? The reason I ask is because the coil seems to get awfully hot when the engine is running.
2) Do I need to reverse the blue and yellow leads that go from the gas tank sending unit to the gage at the dash?
