suggestions:
1. go to www.powerplayhemi.com/idengine.htm
location of engine id number is on top of page scroll down you might find yours under the dodge poly section - will indidate year
once you know the year of your engine you are
on the right path to getting the correct parts.
2. take some donuts to your local dodge dealer parts department and see if they can help you - might be a special freeze plug - who knows
3. please don't always slam parts people
remember you were asking them to locate something for an engine (you don't know what year) that is over 40 years old and probably is not in any of their books.
4. as a note: the best (and highest paid) partspeople in the industry work in a dealership at the mechanics back counter (tremendous pressure as idle techs - waiting for parts cost the dealership over 2.00 a minute and also cost the technician)+ the cost of equipment down time ie truck/tractor/heavy equipment dealerships.
5. in the case of later model vehicles you should always take the 17 digit vehicle identification number and the production date (located on the drivers door pillar) with you when going to a dealership for parts (saves having to go back out and getting it)
6. just a few things you might think about you might even try to find employment (you said you were looking for a job) at a dealership - they are always looking for good people in service & parts - email me if you like and i will be glad to give you some more information & pointers
