zenith carb. question

Do the Zenith model 29 carbs have a slight hesitation in them off idle? This hesitation reminds me of a bad accelerator pump problem in other carbs.

I rebuilt the original Zenith off my wife's WC51 this week and took the Carter I had on it off. I soaked the carb(Zenith) in chem-dip and blew out all passages. Everything looked o.k. so I reassembled it with all new gaskets and put it on the truck. It started right up with no problem, a little idle speed and idle mixture adjustment and it ran like a top. Except for the hesitation off idle.

This is not my first carb rebuild just my first Zenith. I have not been around any other Zenith carbs to know if this is a characteristic of this model or not. If it is, I think the Carter is going back on.
