O/T (kinda) VIN decoding

Hi, I'm trying to decode an old dodge truck. I've looked on the web and on this site and can't get a complete decoding...just partial. Any ideas?

The model # is C1-JA8-129. Now, I know that C1 is 1954, the 8 means V8 and 129 is length...any ideas what JA is?
