The vehicle serial number should be on the outside of the frame, on the drivers side, just aft of the front wheel. You may well have to scrub like the dickens to see it. Numbers are maybe 1/2 tall or so?
There is also a vehicle ID tag with the delivery date, vehicle ID #, weight rating of vehicle with "normal" load and load rating on the dash. I believe the location of the tag on the dash is different for the more civilian 1/2 tons than on the later 3/4 tons. You have no tags on the dash atal?
The one on the passenger side door pillar should be a body number.
