Hi Allen,
I think you have a bad unit. I have a Coleman Power Mate, it is only 1200 psi, and it can blast a hole in concrete. It is 8 years old and no longer made but when used with 'Oil Eater' it will clean anything. WARNING! a true 4,000 psi will remove or damage a good quality automotive finish so be careful if you get that thing fixed!
