Gas Tank For 1947 WDX

Am in the process of restoring my Power Wagon and noticed how small the gas tank appears.How many gallons does it hold? What alternatives exist for replacing the tank with a larger capacity off the shelf (read out of the junk yard) unit that will still fit where the existing one was (using same brackets,etc). Thanks for your help.
