i just picked up a 76 w100 adventurer shortbed 318/727/np203,and im aware of the common complaints re: full time 4x4, small 5 lug bolt pattern,etc. are there any other typical probs with these vehicles? it seems to run quite well,brakes and steering seem fine etc. it has 33/12.5/15's on 15x10 chrome spokes,the fronts rub the fenders in turns,should i trim the fenders,go with an add-a -leaf,or just run either smaller tires,or at least narrower wheels to bring the tires/whhels closer inboard? im a little concerned about the stress on front wheel bearings being compounded by the width of the wheels,arent the wheel bearings a little weak on these years? thanx for any info!
