I think what you are referring to is "corn head grease." I've used it in my winch with good results. Designed for Deere gearboxes on cornheads that operate the snapping rolls. Trust me, You'll never work any gearbox on your truck harder than what these units are subjected to. No expert, just my experience.
It comes in tubes that fit a standard grease gun. Every Deere dealer has it.Kevin
