How long has that Jeeps-in-a-crate-from-the-Gov't story been around?!?! I heard about it years ago when I was in the Army and dumb enough to believe it was true. I did hours/weeks/months of research with Army contacts (pre-internet) (yes, young'uns, there was a world before the internet...) trying to find the ever elusive Crate-Jeep. One of the many 'Urban Legends' I guess. Some guy probably got a basket case at an old P.D.O. auction for $50 and the story evolved from there!!
