Paper gasket problem

I have a decent supply of paper gaskets for my Power Wagon (and other equipment). I recently went to use one and found that it had shrunk, to the point where it was unusable. After a little checking, I found that most of my paper gaskets are shrunken and useless.

Does anyone know how to re-hydrate these old gaskets, or at least how to store new gaskets so they won't shrink on me?
