You have been misinformed. The 361 bell housing will only bolt up to BB engines. The list of engines I mean are: 350, 361, 383, 400, 413, 426, and 440.
Hope this helps. BTW what engine are you planning on using and what is the lenght of the input shaft on your tranny?
