NP205/201 tranfer case part interchange?

I've been trying to figure out if the NP205 rear output shaft/gear is interchangeable with the NP201/200 part, exclusive of the yoke spline count. I know that the 200 and 201 ebrake outputs are interchangeable, even though the 201 has torsional damping springs in it and the 200 does not. Anybody out there know about the 205/201 interchange?
