This is the second day in a row it has been 108 degrees here on the eastern edge of the Black Hills in SD. Down right oppressive. To top it off it is only getting down to 70-75 at night.
I've just learned, late this afternoon, that a timber fire has hit the historic town of Deadwood in the northern hills. The entire town has been evacuated. It has been confirmed that a couple of buildings have already burned. I have heard and seen the fire bombers heading that way this afternoon for a couple of hours. Lets hope they and the ground crews can get a handle on it soon.
