Hi James,

Mopar used a SB 727 behind slant sixes for a while. They had a thick adapter (1"?) to mate the SB pattern to the slant pattern. I am thinking out loud here, I don't even know if the slant and flathead patterns are the same.

These adapters are hard to find, but they are out there. I've heard of people trying to repop them also.
