I've got a Dana 60 in my 75 D-200, and like most diff's, it has a fill hole in the cover. You fill to the bottom of the hole. This makes over-filling impossible to achieve.
Also, the diff case doesn't operate under pressure, although I could see an overfilled case leaking past a seal or gasket that a properly filled one wouldn't.
