I am in a quandary regarding restoration techniques with our favorite topic, old Power wagons. I have 2 of them, one is totally complete but needs and engine rebuild and brake work and minor body work. The other, a 1/2 ton WC, is more or less parts to be assembled into one truck. I don't have the cash to frame up restore both currently but hope to complete the jobs within a lifetime. Also my garage is only 20X20' so space is tight with 2 trucks inside. What to do with the parts as they come off? My strategy is to do a rebuild on the complete truck, ie. take components off,rebuild and replace on the 1ton while at the same time ground-up restore the 1/2tonner in they bay next to the complete truck.What is the most time/cost efficient way to handle this project? Any one else out there atempted such insanity? Please respond with restoration ideas and philosophy. Thanks for input-Galen.
