I had my springs redone at a local shop and got replacement pins(bolts) from Vintage, but the bolts seem too long.
When I tighten the nuts all the way down, they go way past the hole for the cotter pin. When I leave the bolts loose enough for the cotter pin to engage the nut, there's about 1/4-1/2 inch of play in the whole set up. I'm thinking of either adding washers to take up the space, or drilling a new whole for the cotter pin.
Any thoughts or advice are welcome.
P.S. I'm still looking for info on the origin of my T964756 engine. Thanks!
