You'd prolly be happy if you just massaged your 400. Try a head cut to raise compression and a better after market bumpstick. The small Carter TQ carb and stock 4v manifold without the smog plumbing inside, or a small plenum, dual plane aftermarket manifold. DON'T but into things like the edelbrock "TORKER" (it isn't) with the big hole under the carb and the big runners. Think small runner, small plenum for truck applications
