Judging by the response from all the veterans who have seen my truck ('53M37 with a 1990 Cummins 4BT, disc brakes, etc), upgrading the truck while maintaining a stock outward appearance has been a huge hit.
I was at a festival (attended by 7,000) the week after Memorial Day and was hoarse when I got back from work from talking to all the vets. All of them had a story to tell...
If a man who fought with the truck approves, it can't be disrespectful.
