did you have them balanced at a TRUCK SHOP
as opposed to car store ?
did they spin balance the wheels and if so
were they round & true?
remember pw wheel & tire assemblys are heavy
(50-60 kg depending on the tire) and will
require more weight to balance than a pass or conventional light truck assembly
also older 9.00x16 had nylon cord and had got
'flat spotted' after sitting feels like they are square until they get warmed up - no
balance will fix this - just a few blocks or so depending on the weather
if the assemblies were not mounted then the
proceedures are as follows
1. mount each wheel on front hub, turn and measure run out and make a note on wheel
2. put each wheel on an old bubble balancer and find out how much weight it takes to balance the wheel (mark the heavy spot & amount of weight required
3. do the same with each unmounted tire
might have to make jig but it is simple
4. match tires to wheels this will then result in assemblies requiring the least amount of weight to balance
5. take to truck shop or use bubble balancer and a 4weight 90degree system to balance
you might use racetype adhesive weights on the outside (behind bolts) as there is about
1&1/2 inch area there (then just paint them
the od or what ever color your wheels are)
6. last but not least you might have a brake drum that is way out of balance
7. do not put any junk in the tire
