welding over holes in sheetmetal

Anybody know how I can seal up holes that were drilled in my fenders, doors, and bed sides. Seems like there was a lot of hardware on my truck at one time. I need advice on what type of welder I should look into purchasing also since I want to do much of the work myself. Thanks in advance.
