I had 2 stuck hinge pins that I wanted to remove to attach mirror mounts. It was suggested to look at the Eastwood Hinge Pin
Tool.
A quick look at the tool and I made my own and it works great. I took one of my HEAVY duty welding C Clamps with a 1 inch screw.
I put a 5/8 " nut on the top of the hinge to provide clearence for the pin to move up. I then put the BIG C Clamp on the hinge. The stationary part of the clamp on the bottom and the screw on the top of the hinge resting on the 5/8" nut sitting over the head of the hinge pin. I cranked the clamp down tight, put my 1 inch box wrench on it and pushed the pin up about .500 inch till it contacted the clamp. At that point tapping a drift easy pushed it right out.
They will be generously coated with never seize before they go back in.
