"Mr. Blandings ..." WC cameo

I watched the classic movie "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House" the other night.

There's a scene during which the slippery real-estate agent is describing the property Blandings (played by Carey Grant) is looking to buy. As the guy goes through his spiel, the camera pans the property. As it gets to the road, an open-cab 1/2-ton WC cruises into and out of the frame.

The movie is 1948 (with Myrna Loy playing Mrs. Blandings). This has to be one of the earliest uses of a WWII Dodge in a "civilian" role in the movies.

There are some other old trucks in the movie, and an old steam shovel gets a bit of air time.

Good flick, with the WC as a very quick bonus.
