Hi Chris,
Sorry to hear about your engine. To help identify your engine, if the distributor is in the back by the firewall, it's a small block and if the valve covers are "bumpy" by the spark plugs, it's a Polyspheric engine(more than likely a 318).
If the distributor is in the front of the engine, it's a big block. If it's a factory big block, it's probably a 383...that's the typical BB used in those years.
If you do have a poly 318, there's a guy on the sweptline forum trying to get rid of one. He's located in Reno, Nv.
